Veteran Health Insurance Options
The VA, Veterans' Administration, offers health insurance benefits to individuals that have a veteran status. There is an enrollment process that will determine your eligibility; you will also be given a rank between one and eight, one being the highest priority. Once your policy begins, you will be given benefits like Basic Care, Preventive Care, Periodic Medical Exams, Emergency Care in VA facilities and Home Health Services. If you are a veteran of Vietnam and have type 2 diabetes, you may want to consider getting the Agent Orange policy from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). This plan offers disability compensation, which is based on your exposure to Agent Orange, other herbicides for your type 2 diabetes. You can also withdraw the money accumulated once you reach retirement age.
